THE STORY
STUDIO BOTH/AND started with a six month roadtrip across America. It was 2015, and the country was incredibly polarized; but we found two things that continually brought people together: community and storytelling. The shared love of a place or idea or experience often united people, despite their political or cultural differences. And it was the stories of that love that reached people in impactful ways: The idea that the best and most productive media was storytelling built by and rooted in community. Through the last 8 years that mission was manifested first through podcasting, then through social outreach, and finally through community events. And so became STUDIO BOTH/AND, where we believe we do more good when we see the world through a lens of both/and rather than either/or.
